The Colorado Secretary of State disappeared a Dominion document and I have questions.

Colorado Secretary of State

Secretary of State Jena Griswold appears to be doing some winter cleaning of her files, you know, out with the incriminating, in with the new President.

To be completely fair, it's not clear that the document she deleted includes anything that would support a contention that there is a problem with the Dominion Voting Systems software, however, what is incriminating is quietly deleting documents that belong to us, not her. These are public documents for a good reason. Why delete that one?

It went missing sometime between November 19th when the document was still there, and November 21st when it went missing.

It's even been scrubbed from the search index as far as I can tell. Other documents with a similar title (part of a series of presentations it would seem) appear, but there's not even a link anymore to the old one.

Of course, as you well know, the Internet is forever, and so it is still available through that November 19, 2020 link from the Wayback Machine.

There are similar documents with different dates and content but the same cover page (very common in a long bidding process) such as here and here.

I'll be looking at the deleted document in the next day or two. It includes an extensive list of personnel which could both be well-intentioned (just trying to protect people from doxing) or nefarious (the revelation of potential conflicts of interest).

I'll table that for now pending further investigation. But two important issues remain:

  1. Why delete this public document, apparently quietly, without any explanation?
  2. What other documents have been deleted that we don't know about?

I'll be asking those questions. I'll let you know if I or anyone else (the Intertubes are very much on the case) hears back.
