The Biden admin is still forcing 2-year-olds to mask up at preschool because it's just a total hassle to get the health guidelines updated, y'all

As Americans we can truly take pride in the competence, foresight, and governing abilities of our unaccountable bureaucracy class:

The Biden administration has taken credit for a relative return to normalcy in schools over the last year of the coronavirus pandemic. But in one of the few education programs the federal government directly oversees โ€” Head Start preschools and child care centers for low-income families โ€” mandatory masking rules are still on the books for teachers and children as young as 2-years-old.

In a written statement, the Department of Health and Human Services, which oversees Head Start, acknowledged that the current guidelines contradict those of the C.D.C. but said that centers are not being checked for compliance on masking. Updating the official rules is "a lengthy process," the statement said, which would take into consideration the C.D.C.'s evolving recommendations, the recent availability of vaccinations for children as young as 6 months and over 2,700 public comments.

Oooh it's a "LEnGtHy pRocEss" huh?

It's sooooo hard to change the freaking guidelines that YOU YOURSELVES wrote.

You can just picture these guys when they're asked to repeal one stinking rule on their own books:

Hey, at the very least though, we're apparently allowed to write this now:

[W]hile masks, properly worn, do offer virus protection, young children tend not to be severely affected by the coronavirus, even when unvaccinated.

Don't censor us, Facebook! It was printed in The New York Times first!
