This was going viral today so I had to share it.

This actually happened back in 2018, when the world was simpler.

It only made the rounds on smaller websites, meaning folks like me never saw it. The daughter in this video is apparently Janis Higgins, who runs a vacation rental company in Texas.

Her dad is actually her step-dad, and he sold his Corvette Stingray after proposing to her mother to provide for her and the two kids that he would now raise as his own.

And for forty years, he did provide. That car was nothing next to the legacy of the family that he built and protected.

But his kids still wanted to give back. If you didn't catch it, the license plate on the car reads "YDHT," which means "You Didn't Have To."

He never had to give up his dream car, because by sacrificing for his family (AKA by being a man), he got so much more... plus the car to boot.
