The insane reason this thief stole this flatbed of Corvettes … actually kind of makes sense?

You gotta give this guy credit for at least being honest with law enforcement:

On February 15 2024 a victim was assaulted and robbed at the Willcox Loves Truck Stop, Mr. Isaiah Walker, 23 of Lawton Oklahoma, spoke to the victim about his truckload, lulled him into a sense of security, and when the victim was entering his vehicle Mr. Walker grabbed the victim and threw him from the cab.

Dude straight-up jacked a car hauler like he was in GTA:

The truck in question was reportedly hauling "10 Chevrolet C8 Corvettes with an estimated value above $1,250,000." Bold Mr. Walker took off in the highly conspicuous vehicle, eventually attempting to evade police before coming to a stop.

Naturally, he was arrested. And when police questioned him as to why the heck he would gank a semi-trailer full of $1.2 million worth of Corvettes, well, the answer was surprising:

Mr. Walker admitted to stealing the vehicle and advised that the Corvettes were not the reason and that he needed a truck to get home as he had just been released from prison.

All the cops in the station at that moment:

Walker "was booked into the Cochise County Jail for multiple felony charges including Robbery, 11 counts of Theft of Means of Transportation, and Felony Theft."

Next time, buddy, just call an Uber. For real.
