Canadian drug dealer busted for handing out business cards with free samples of cocaine stapled to them

A Calgary drug dealer took the "first one is free" trope to the next level recently, stapling a sample of cocaine to his business cards.

Seyyed Amir Razavi, who went by the street name Alex Lee, went to a local casino during the holiday season to network, handing out his business cards to potential clients.

The cards did not have much information on them, just a few lines: The name Alex Lee, his occupation as a "driver," and his contact info.

Lest anyone should be confused and accidentally call Lee about getting a ride, Lee also stapled a small baggy of cocaine to every card.

Someone alerted the police to the cards, and the police spent the next month tracking down Lee.

Why they didn't just call him for a ride, I don't know. Maybe they didn't want to blow it.

Eventually, they got a lucky break and found his vehicle:

Police pulled over a 2020 Toyota Tundra, arresting the driver. Officers searched the truck as well as a home on Beaconsfield Place N.W., seizing almost 60 grams of cocaine portioned into individual packages, a digital scale, $1,280 in cash and the Alex Lee business cards.

He was charged with with two counts of drug trafficking, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking and three counts of possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.

... And then later released without bail.

Because of course.
