Each long weekend, the numbers that come out of Chicago's Police Department are truly shocking. This Labor Day was no exception:

Six people were murdered and 39 were shot in one Labor Day weekend. This includes two 15-year-old boys who were killed in separate shootings.
According to preliminary Chicago Police Department data, 39 people were shot in 33 separate shooting incidents between 6 p.m. Friday and 11:59 p.m. Monday. In addition to the six people who were fatally shot, a seventh person died of blunt force trauma.
Chicago turns deadly during the weekends. This is a common occurrence in the Windy City.
