Old video here, but I still think it's relevant. What do you people think about using a lacrosse stick to practice the fine art of laying down a bunt?
Check it out:
I'll go first. I think it's brilliant. Say what you want about it — "they should be using a baseball bat," "they're wasting their time," "lacrosse sticks are for real athletes" — but I think this is the perfect drill to help kids lay down a good bunt. You don't want to come out and attack a pitch when you bunt; you want a nice, clean, soft tap where the bat almost receives the ball, and that's what the drill teaches.
Fight me, but that's how I feel.
Okay, hit me up with your best takes in the comments.
