The labor market is so broken that Macy's is having to ask its corporate employees to fill in at retail locations on Black Friday

We've all been asked to fill in shifts at work during the busy season, and we all know it's no fun.

But you kinda imagine that once you've ascended the corporate ladder and you're making $185k a year plus benefits, that ain't gonna happen.

Well, think again, because this is Joe Biden's America:

Macy's is asking corporate employees to volunteer for shifts in its department stores on Black Friday and other busy holiday shopping days, at a time when the retail sector is struggling to fill more than 1 million job openings.

Internal emails and a corporate memo reviewed by The Washington Post show that Macy's is enlisting corporate workers to help fold clothes, clear dressing rooms and restock merchandise. The "Experience Elevation Elves" program calls on office workers to "lend a helping hand" at stores in the coming weeks.

"As a company, we understand that business continues to be different, and where we can, we want to influence our high traffic moments, finding ways to elevate the customer experience," Macy's said in an internal employee website outlining its "Holiday All Hands-On Deck" strategy.

Oh, Macy's wants to find ways to "elevate the customer experience"?

Probably the best way to do that is have the corporates run the corporation and the retail workers run the retail.

But the White House seems to want as much chaos in the labor market as it can possibly get, so that's apparently not really possible anymore.

Anyway be sure to give a smile to Macy's CFO as you're browsing the store's Black Friday deals!
