How bad was the September jobs report?
The U.S. suffered a very disappointing September jobs report as only 194,000 positions were added in the past month, falling well short of the projected 500,000, according to the Labor Department.
Yikes. So jobs came in at less than 40% of projections.
That's bad, not good, foreboding, a disaster... you name it.
And it's been happening for MONTHS.
Well, wait a second: The unemployment rate still fell last month—only by a scant 0.4%, but that's still encouraging, right?
The unemployment rate fell to 4.8 percent, but that was partly a result of people leaving the labor force entirely — a sign that public health fears and other disruptions from Covid are still keeping people from looking for work.
Ah, yes, the "blame-COVID-for-literally-everything-that-goes-wrong" game.
Biden should keep that up! It'll definitely help his party out in the midterms next year.
