Disney put Jack Black and Lizzo in an episode of "The Mandalorian" to kill Star Wars entirely

"The Mandalorian" was a cultural hit because of one man: Dave Filoni.

Filoni understands Star Wars in his bones. More importantly, he knows how to create compelling characters and stories with cohesive plots.

But from my outsider perspective, it seems the dummies at Disney HQ have continually wrestled creative control away from Filoni and given it to lesser men.

The result?

[Mild Spoilers Ahead]

Yep, that's from the latest episode of the show, written and directed by Jon Favreau, who somehow keeps getting more control after his steaming pile of cosplay cringe known as "The Book of Boba Fett."

Favreau, despite his success at making Marvel content and experience with live-action, doesn't know how to make Star Wars. Without the dedication to the lore that Dave Filoni has, woke executives like Kathleen Kennedy have continued to push this beloved series over the edge of the cliff. Take Baby Yoda for example: It's clear from the writing at this point that he wasn't supposed to be in this season (he was supposed to be training with Luke Skywalker), but they wrote him back in and ruined him in the process.

I've read hundreds of comments on the latest season from the few thousand Star Wars fans that are still paying attention to Star Wars, and only a few are supportive of where the show is going.

As one commenter put it, "It seems like they hit a gold mine and now are just writing BS story arcs to farm money."

Another said, "It's not even the cameos or the side quests, it's the off-genre story trying to be deep while completely ignoring what Star Wars is. You can't tell a story when you don't understand the base material."

Please enjoy this super weird clip from the show that completely takes you out of the universe and has no charm or purpose at all.

Yeah, it's bad.

Oh, did I mention that Doc from "Back to the Future" was there too?

Great Scott!

In my own house, my kids – once fascinated by this show – really don't care that much anymore. They didn't even watch more than 5 minutes of the latest episode before doing literally anything else.

The show has turned into everything else Disney – really fun with nothing substantial happening. In other words, all fluff and meaningless.

(If that ain't a description of our culture today.)

Good stories feature real, flawed people who teach us something about honor, bravery, sacrifice, love, endurance, family, and the nature of good and evil. Woke Disney has completely forgotten that.
