Trump is out here spitting fire on this fine Wednesday morning.

The DOJ and FBI are being sent to hunt down Catholic dads who oppose abortion, concerned moms who speak at public school-board meetings, and anyone who likes that extremist literature known as the Constitution. If they aren't reined in, we get to experience what it was like in the Cold War to be disappeared by the Soviet KGB.

At the same time, just like your local police force, we need some measure of law enforcement at the federal level. You can't just axe the entire thing and expect cartels, terrorists, fraudsters, and other big-time criminals to take a break.

In other words, you can't just tear down your house and expect to survive the elements. But sometimes, a house is so infested with rot and termites that the whole dang thing needs to be ripped down and rebuilt from the ground up.
