Two weeks ago, I wrote one of the most ironic headlines of the year.
Iryna Zarutska was a 23-year-old Ukrainian who fled the war in her country for Charlotte, North Carolina.
Over the weekend, police released video of her being stabbed in the neck by a violent career criminal.

Iryna got on the train, sat down, and immediately went "condition white" (looking at her phone without paying attention to her surroundings). In the blink of an eye, her throat was slashed and she was bleeding out over the floor of the train.
It's an image that you can't forget:
Despite the horror of the crime, the media has remained ostensibly quiet.
Whatever articles can be found focus on the angle that "MAGA" is trying to capitalize on a woman's brutal death to advance a narrative.
Other leftwing institutions, such as Wikipedia, are attempting to erase mention of the brutal murder.
Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles, a Democrat, didn't focus on the murder, but instead on the murder suspect, calling for sympathy.
Speaking of the suspect, Decarlos Brown Jr. had been arrested 14 times prior to the murder, including for felony larceny, robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault, injury to personal property, and more.
Why was he back out on the streets?
Well, because he deserved a 15th chance, of course!
Let's not blame the fake news and justice system exclusively, however. There were men on that train who stood calmly while a murderer with a knife dripped blood around their feet.
We are in a period of time where weak men are truly making hard times.
And the hard men? Well, the media and politicians are doing their best to arrest and destroy them.
The Bible says to pray for our enemies and turn the other cheek when abused. The Christian is not to seek revenge or violence. It also says that we are to rescue those "staggering toward the slaughter" (Proverbs 24:11). The Apostle Paul instructs believers to live peacefully "so far as it depends on you," but King David also praises God "who trains my hands for war." Ecclesiastes says there is a "time to heal," and also a "time to kill." God instructs us to trust in Him, and that victory will come through Him (Proverbs 21:31), but He also told Joshua to be "strong and very courageous."
Paul also told the church in Rome that civil government is "the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer."
When the government no longer does this, but becomes destructive to the people it is supposed to protect, it has no reason to exist. As Thomas Jefferson penned in 1776, "whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it," and, "it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
The Old Guard overseeing our justice system and media infrastructure is corrupt and willfully inept. Their silence no longer quells dissent; instead, it is turning more and more Americans into its enemies.
The fake news has spent decades hiding the truth in an effort to keep us from becoming what they consider to be "extreme."
But by their silence, they have turned us into what they fear.
Now is the time for hard men.
'Consecrate for war; stir up the mighty men. Let all the men of war draw near; let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, 'I am a warrior.'" - Joel 3:9b-10
