Hoo boy did Kylie Jenner step in it now.
The billionaire is facing backlash over her private jet usage, after receipts show her taking minutes-long flights across town to avoid what would have amounted to 40-minute car rides.
24-year-old Kylie Jenner has been made famous by hordes of vapid, brainless fans who are obsessed with making idols out of the worst people.
That fame has given her obscene wealth, which is why she can post things like this on Instagram:
Yes, that's her and boyfriend Travis Scott kissing in front of their two jumbo jets.
Talk about wealth and privilege!
Normally, the mob would laud the excesses of a woman made famous because her stepdad is former O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian and her father is Olympic man-turned-woman Caitlyn Jenner.
After all, for 15 years the mob has loved the lavish excesses and drama of the Kardashian-Jenner family, whether it's sex tapes with Kim and Ray J, Kim divorcing NBA player Kris Humphries after two months of marriage, Khloé's "appropriation" of Native American culture by wearing a headdress, or Kim and Kanye fighting with Taylor Swift. The fans have loved every hyper-sexualized photo of wealth and glamour, idolizing the family's women as symbols of modern feminine freedom.
In fact, the only real time the mob turned on them was when Bruce – err, Caitlyn – decided to vote for Trump and run as a Republican for California governor.
That is, until Kylie just crossed the climate cult.
And look, they have a point! Why should you be forced to pay $5 for gas, drink through a paper straw, and have Pete Buttigieg stare at you until you shell out money for an electric vehicle while Kylie Jenner jets from one side of town to the other?
My problem is that the same mob doesn't seem to care when John Kerry, Prince Henry, or any of the other climate elites do the exact same thing when they meet to discuss how to rule us peasants.
Kylie isn't the one making you drink through paper straws. That would be the dunderheads who jet around making climate speeches while restricting your freedoms. Sure, Kylie is being excessive, but that's her brand. She's just a regular person using her own wealth to do what she wants. If you're gonna be angry, be ten times as angry at the politicians who are micromanaging your lives.
But that's not how the game works. Since Kylie doesn't make speeches about climate change as lip service, she is now the criminal.
Look at how Gizmodo framed it:
Turns out, Kylie's climate crimes extend beyond just owning a private plane. Incredibly, Jenner has used her jet to take flights of less than 10 minutes. Twitter bot Celebrity Jets, which uses data from ADS-B Exchange, a flight data platform, to track where celebrities go in their private jets, posted several of Jenner's recent flights this week. One flight, on July 16, lasted only about 11 minutes; this trip was from Camarillo to Van Nuys, two Los Angeles suburbs that are about a 45-minute drive away from each other. According to the Celebrity Jets' tweet, this very short flight used up 655 pounds (297 kilograms) of jet fuel, contributing about 1 ton of CO2 emissions. That's the equivalent of driving a gas-powered car 2,482 miles—by using a jet, Jenner effectively increased her CO2 emissions from this trip more than 60 times. This isn't an unusual occurrence for Kylie: On July 12, Celebrity Jets tweeted that Jenner's private jet flew from Camarillo to Van Nuys for only about 3 minutes.
Yeah, the climate cult is big mad.
Now, I'm one of the crazy people who thinks the world isn't burning, but that we're seeing fluctuations in temperature and climate due to a variety of factors, most of which are beyond our control and nearly none of which can be solved by giving politicians all our money and power.
But I'm also not a fan of the Kardashian-Jenner family, so I'm not the one Kylie needs to appease.
If I could make a prediction, it would be that Kylie is going to join the ranks of climate experts to absolve her sins in very short order (and become even more obscenely rich by doing so)!
