The NBA is canceling all games on Election Day in order to get as many Dem—uh, voters—to the polls as possible

In basketball they call this sort of move a "full-court press," although I am still of the mind that, for Democrats, the midterms are just gonna end up being a bunch of air balls:

When the 2022 NBA schedule is released there will be no games set for Election Day on Nov. 8.

The NBA, which let us all remember is not at all political, will keep all 30 teams off the court on Election Day in an attempt to increase voter turnout.

"We don't usually change the schedule for an external event," James Cadogan, the executive director of the National Basketball Social Justice Coalition said. "But voting and Election Day are obviously unique and incredibly important to our democracy."

Oh uh huh suuuuure okay.

Gee, is there anything "unique and incredibly important" about this particular election?

Maybe, I dunno, it's that the Democratic incumbent in the White House is collapsing before our very eyes and Democrats are rightfully terrified of their prospects in November?

They need all the help they can get!

So much so that they're hosting literal pep rallies before the midterms:

The NBA keeping teams at home for this year's midterms isn't their only political strategy. All 30 teams will take the floor the Monday before Election Day with each home team hosting "election-based themed" fan nights.

Yeah, I can't wait to see the results when 30 NBA teams try and shove a bunch of progressive pablum down the throats of the people who paid good money to come see their games:

And even after all this, Dems are still probably going to get absolutely obliterated on Election Night. Funny stuff!
