Gotta say, that looks better than the parody that was Season 1 of "Rings of Power," which is still generating energy from JRR Tolkien spinning rapidly in his grave.
But teaser trailers are usually 1,000% better than the actual products these days, so I am fully expecting this new season to be a continuing meme, especially with Guyladriel leading the way.
(At least they made Elrond a warrior this time around ... sort of?)
The special effects were dazzling though, I'll say that. Bezos spared no expense!
The Siege of Eregion looks lit (pun intended)!
But we all know this is gonna be a disaster and the plot will be made of Swiss cheese (actually, that's an insult to the Swiss).

Special effects are no substitute for the deep roots of lore that Tolkien interweaved into his saga. Hollywood is completely detached from the objective truth, righteousness, chivalry, culture, tradition, and destiny that shape Tolkien's world, and our own. In the end, its best attempts to imitate art are only a well-drawn circus show.
I am glad that the Men of the West still seem to understand that.
