Tucker Carlson made a comment about how "white men fight" and the NYT thinks they've successfully painted him as evil incarnate because of it:
A couple of weeks ago, I was watching video of people fighting on the street in Washington. A group of Trump guys surrounded an Antifa kid and started pounding the living sh** out of him. It was three against one, at least. Jumping a guy like that is dishonorable obviously. It's not how white men fight.
The mainstream media right now:
No, really! Here's what The Times says immediately after this quote:
For years, Mr. Carlson espoused views on his show that amplified the ideology of white nationalism. But the text message revealed more about his views on racial superiority.
Hold your horses there, ya leftist NPCs.
I know you LOOOOOVE to bang the "racism" drum, but slow your roll. You missed everything that came after:
Yet suddenly I found myself rooting for the mob against the man, hoping they'd hit him harder, kill him. I really wanted them to hurt the kid. I could taste it. Then somewhere deep in my brain, an alarm went off: this isn't good for me. I'm becoming something I don't want to be. The Antifa creep is a human being. Much as I despise what he says and does, much as I'm sure I'd hate him personally if I knew him, I shouldn't gloat over his suffering. I should be bothered by it. I should remember that somewhere somebody probably loves this kid, and would be crushed if he was killed. If I don't care about those things, if I reduce people to their politics, how am I better than he is?
A lot of leftist media icons, from Joy Reid to Stephen Colbert, spew hate at their enemies NIGHTLY.
Tucker is the only huge name I can think of who has ever made a statement about recognizing the own sin within himself and humanizing those who disagree with him, even when those people literally want to kill him and burn the nation down.
"How white men fight" was a poor choice of words, but understandable in a society where the Left has forced us to divide each other into categories based on the color of our skin.
When making a statement in 2023 America, is it easier to say "how white men fight" or "how individuals bound by the moral framework of Western civilization fight"?
Honor is not a "white man's" property. But, as I said, the Left has made us a nation that sees everything through race, so the way people naturally describe things often boils down to race. I loathe this, but it is what it is.
Here's what I believe he meant: Civilized men do not act like the thugs you see embraced by urban gang culture, often described as "black culture" by those on the Left (what Tucker said was merely the flip side of their own rhetoric).
Or would you deny that such urban lawlessness exists? This was Oakland, California this week:

I'll shorten Tucker's words to what he should have said:
