Real estate is so nuts that a creepy little alley in the Houston suburbs is going for 50 grand

We've all grown used to the sheer insanity of the U.S. housing market that it's hard to shock us anymore. And there are signs that the whole thing is cooling down.

Still, it ain't cooled off completely, not yet anyway:

If you've always wanted to own a piece of land in Bellaire, a small opportunity just opened up.

A very small opportunity.

A 1,005-square-foot lot at 4630 B Willow St. in Bellaire was listed as for sale on HAR.com 10 days ago, with an asking price of $50,000.

I bet you're thinking the same thing I was: "How can they possibly advertise this thing in a way to make it appealing?" And the answer is, they...don't. They don't even try to sell it. Here's the most details you get, via Zillow:

It's not a lot to go on. And yet you know that there are buyers who're gonna be like:

I mean, according to the Houston Chronicle, it's an absolute palace:

The small strip is adjacent to a feeder road off Loop 610. The lot is sandwiched between homes on Laurel Street and Willow Street. It can be entered through a fence. There's two or three storage sheds on the property already...

"Two or three storage sheds?!" It's practically a country estate!

Congratulations to whoever snatches this gem up!
