The Republican Party of Florida on Wednesday night picked the 18-year-old youngest son of former President Donald Trump as one of the state's at-large delegates to the Republican National Convention, per a copy of the results viewed by POLITICO.
The state party also selected other Trump children as delegates, including Eric Trump as its delegation chair — meaning he'll place his father's name in for the nomination — and Donald Trump Jr. and Tiffany Boulos, formerly Trump, and her husband Michael Boulos as other at-large delegates.
A Trump campaign official said Barron "is very interested in our nation's political process."

The delegates will appear at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July.
And look at this: Barron isn't just jumping in the delegate pool cuz daddy told him to. He's got political aspirations beyond his father's next presidency.
As he prepares to serve as the delegate for Florida at the Republican National Convention, sources tell us the strapping 6ft 7in teen who has never uttered a word in public is nonetheless a steadfast supporter of the Trump 2024 campaign behind the scenes.
And - perhaps more ominously for the former President's Democratic opponents - he's also expressed an interest in following in his 77-year-old father's footsteps.
'Barron is handsome, tall - taller even than his father - and very knowledgeable for someone his age. He's also far more politically interested than people realize,' an insider told DailyMail.com.
'I see all the attributes of a future President if he has the appetite for it. And why not? He has the Trump genes.'
