The Satanic Temple has filed a lawsuit against a Pennsylvanian elementary school after the school board voted NO to their After School Satan Club.
How dare they deny children the riches of learning about Satanism!
I am SHOCKED.
Shocked for a few reasons...
First, AN AFTER SCHOOL SATAN CLUB????!!!?!!
Second, a school board actually making the right call on something??? Whaaaaa...
A breath of fresh air, I suppose.
Third and fourth, this sick group of people are actually suing over this! AND this isn't their first attempt.
The Satanic Temple has hosted the After School Satan Club before in other areas.
They have fun posters and everything!
Now, the Northern Elementary School in York, Pennsylvania is being sued on the grounds of constitutional violation.
The Satanists will try to prove that they are being discriminated against. Because after all, OTHER organizations are allowed to have their after school clubs so why aren't evil, scary Satan worshipers allowed to?!
Mathew Kezhaya, the general counsel for The Satanic Temple, told ABC the litigation could take up to two years to complete โ potentially longer if the case were moved to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Yes, they have a lawyer...
"The First Amendment prohibits a government from considering the popularity of communicative activity when determining whether to facilitate that communicative activity on equal terms with other, similarly situated, groups," he told ABC.
According to ABC, the school made "discrete statements" informing the temple that if they just removed the word "Satan" from the club's name, they would have a better chance being approved.
AH HA! There's the school board we are all used to. Sneaky and pandering.
Lucien Greaves, a Satanic Temple spokesperson (with a name that practically screams "Satanist"), told Fox News it will be costly for the school and community to continue with litigation, should they still bar the After School Satan club.
"If they deny us the use of a public facility, which they have no right to do, it'll have to move into litigation โ costly litigation that the community is going to have to pay for," he said.
On The Satanic Temple's website, the organization claims the after-school program does not actually involve Satan.
"The After School Satan Club is an after-school program that promotes self-directed education by supporting the intellectual and creative needs of students," the devil worshippers wrote.
"The After School Satan Clubs meet at select public schools where Good News Clubs also operate." "Trained educators provide activities and learning opportunities, which students are free to engage in, or they may opt to explore other interests that may be aided by available resources."
How about NO.
Sure, they try to come across all innocent. Just innocently talking to children about the benefits of worshipping yourself (and therefore THE DEVIL).
But I should point out that The Satanic Temple is ALSO suing an ad agency over "religious discrimination" for refusing to put up pro-abortion billboards.
By "religious discrimination" I believe they are referring to the fact that abortions are part of their "religious ritual."
Be afraid. Be very afraid...
I'm going to have to end things here because I am getting way too creeped out.
Lord help us keep these devil worshippers out of our schools and away from our kids!
