It's good to be a member of the new royalty:
The Emmys were skewered on social media as viewers took notice of the lack of coronavirus safety measures, specifically masks.
The 2021 awards show was one of the first to return to the typical in-person format following more than a year of delayed and adjusted ceremonies like the Oscars and Golden Globes. Few of the stars in attendance on Sunday were seen on the broadcast wearing masks or observing social distancing guidelines.
The celebrities didn't wear masks, but their hired servants were forced to!
The same thing recently happened at the Met Gala in New York.
If you think this is unfair, just remember that these people are powerful and filthy rich, so they don't care about the opinions of little plebeians like you.
After all, they continue to hold award shows for themselves even though no one else is watching!
Some people said this was totally different because guests had to show proof of vaccination to attend, but I've been told 1) the vaccinated are spreading the variants like wildfire and thus need to mask and 2) according to Joe Biden, we need to protect the vaccinated from the unvaccinated, so I'm confused at how the woke science works out.
I assume if you subtract natural immunity, multiply by Dr. Fauci, and then divide by hypocrisy, the equation works out to 2+2=5.
At least true woke disciple Seth Rogan was there to call out the Emmys and his fellow elites in this cringeworthy speech!
The comment caused the show's DJ, Reggie Watts, to fire back:
Despite what Seth might have said, we're going to celebrate and party, but while we're doing that we're absolutely following all the health and safety guidelines that some really smart people asked us to do to keep us safe from COVID.
Were those the "really smart people" who say you should kick asthmatic peasant toddlers off airplanes if they can't breathe through a mask, or the other really smart people (who we're not supposed to talk about) who say masks are dumb in most situations?
I guess the answer is whatever advice lets the rich and beautiful people do what they want!
