The U.S. Census Bureau wants to start asking your kids about their "current gender" and sexuality

Once again demonstrating that LGBT ideology is affecting everything, all the time, everywhere, the U.S. government now wants to start querying your kids about sexuality before they're even old enough to drive:

The U.S. Census Bureau is under fire for embracing progressive ideology around gender and sexuality and pushing for taxpayer dollars to fund it.

U.S. Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and JD Vance, R-Ohio, sent a letter to the U.S. Census Bureau Director Robert Santos calling on him to rescind its plan to incorporate a gender identity and sexuality questions to the American Community Survey, which goes to more than 3.5 million Americans each year.

The revised survey would ask about both a respondent's sex "assigned at birth" as well as his or her "current gender." Americans as young as 15 would receive those queries.

As young as 15.

Oh, but don't worry: The bureau is taking big, important steps to make sure that they properly word the question:

In its fiscal year 2023 budget request to Congress, the Census Bureau requested $10 million to study how best to word a question for the survey asking Americans about their gender identity.

Ten million bucks to figure out how to ask your kids if they're a pansexual gender-fluid unicorn. Your tax dollars at work!

You'd be forgiven for doing this to the census the next time it showed up:

(Actually that'd be illegal. You're bound by law to take the census.)

Still, the feeling is understandable. Hopefully this stupid proposal will get scrapped.
