Co-host on The View Sunny Hostin commented on potential candidates for the 2024 U.S. presidential election, saying "the brain power alone [of a Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg ticket] would just obliterate Trump or DeathSantis (referring to Florida Governor Ron Desantis)."

"I think [DeSantis] handled COVID miserably. I think he's a fascist and a bigot," Hostin said. "I mean, take a look. Exactly. There are plenty of ... Democrats that have tons of verve and energy.

"I mean, I like Gavin Newsom because he's really pretty to look at. I think he does a great job in California."

"I like a Kamala and Pete Buttigieg ticket. I think that looks great."

Co-host Joy Behar then asked Hostin "Do you think they could win, really?" She replied:

"Well, I would vote for them. I hope this country is ready for something like that. I think the brain power alone would just obliterate Trump or DeathSantis."

Current Vice President Kamala Harris' current unfavorable rating average on Real Clear Politics is 52.1 percent, second only to President Joe Biden (52.7 percent), while Trump holds a 51.5 percent unfavorable rating.
