You guys, the White House really wants us to think highly of Kamala Harris. Look at this:
She was on the call, guys!
With Benjamin Netanyahu!
Probably said nothing but a quick "hi" and "bye," but still, she was there. This was after Biden dropped out of the race, of course, because Dems are trying to show off Kamala's foreign policy "skills."
But, uhh, if you were to go back through all the major events before Joe Biden dropped out of the race, how many times do you suppose Kamala Harris's name would have appeared in White House records and correspondence?
Let me put it this way: From the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel until July 25, 2024, when Biden conceded the fact that he could not beat Donald Trump, Politico found zero references to Harris in calls to Benjamin Netanyahu.
However, after July 25, the calls would include these words:
Vice President Harris also joined the call.
She's doing stuff!
A whole lot of ... stuff.
Yet we now get statements like this one from the White House because they have to pretend Kamala has been involved with these things all along:
Since day one, President Biden has relied on the vice president's judgment and partnership to tackle the biggest foreign policy challenges and opportunities our country faces.
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan told reporters recently,
Vice President Harris has been a central member of the Biden foreign policy team, a leading member, and has been part of the design and execution of the overall strategy in the Indo-Pacific.
Suddenly, the vice president is also integral to the U.S.'s Indo-Pacific policies, including our national position on China.
Considering how our foreign relations have evolved over the past 3.5 years, I'm not sure how smart of a play it is for the Democrats to pencil Harris in on those decisions.
Compared to the peaceful years of the Trump administration, the wars in Afghanistan, Ukraine, the Middle East, unrest in Africa, and South America, increasing tensions with China and its neighbors do not paint the Biden years in a positive light.
So, if Kamala Harris really was part and parcel of the current administration's policy of fanning the flames of conflict in favor of World War III, perhaps we should stop encouraging her to do stuff.
When are the Democrats going to decide whether or not Kamala Harris played a significant role in the Biden administration? They can't have it both ways!
