The ladies over at The View, particularly Joy Behar, never pass up an opportunity to beclown themselves by making absolutely disgusting remarks about Republican-appointed justices.
With the announcement that Stephen Breyer is retiring, The View couldn't help but attack the conservative justices already appointed to the court:
You know you could make the case that someone like Amy Coney-Barrett was put in there because she's a white woman who they say - she will - go against abortion rights and she's a woman, so that was deliberate, I think.
Well, Joy, if you mean that the idea was that Coney Barrett would be a good justice and oppose unlawful decisions like Roe V. Wade, then yeah. It seems like a perfectly good reason to put her on the court. Regardless of gender.
So the first attack is that Coney Barrett is a woman who doesn't agree with the people on The View, so that's a negative.
I'm sure they'll treat Clarence Thomas with similar respect.
Clarence Thomas, a black guy, a black man, a justice, okay I'll give it to him, he's a smart guy, but he is to the right of Attila the Hun this guy.
Oh, that's nice.
Afraid of being called racist, Joy amends her statement from "a black guy" to "a smart guy." That should cover it, as long as you don't say anything else ridiculously racist.
They put him in there thinking "Oh, a black man will go against voting rights" which is what he does.
Which is a very tricky business they're pulling over there.
So, to boil it down for you, Barrett is anti-woman because she won't side with the libs. And Thomas is anti-black because he's conservative.
Got it.
If a woman or a black man disagrees with Joy Behar they are traitors to their gender and race. That's what's really being said here.
Sunny Hostin chimed in with a little backward history lesson, in order to further smear Thomas.
It was terribly disrespectful to appoint someone like Clarence Thomas, with his philosophies, to the seat of Thurgood Marshall, a civil rights activist.
The appointment of Clarence Thomas, a black man who worked his way up from nothing, the American Dream come true, was "disrespectful" because he replaced a liberal justice.
How shameful.
This news doesn't actually involve Thomas or Barrett. What they're really complaining about is that the Republicans have two good justices who don't fit their stereotype.
