There's seriously no way this is an actual interaction between an English police officer and a common man waiting for his friend at the train station.

I have no idea what I've just watched. Like, are the English not allowed to sit in their car and wait for their friends to arrive via train?

"I need to eliminate you as a suspect from the crime that may or may not be currently in progress. If you're unwilling to allow me to eliminate you, then we'll have to take the matter further and you'll be in a whole lot of additional trouble."

I'm sorry, but is a vehicle in a parking lot at the train station a crime in progress? What is happening here? This is like Orwell in real life, except at least Orwell made the authorities out to be somewhat competent.
