Connecticut twins enter the world in two different years. Cue the dad jokes!

Hamden parents Mykel and Aliyah Kiyomi Morris welcomed their twin newborns into the world this past weekend in two separate years.

The siblings were born just minutes apart.

Their son, Seven Morris, was born at 11:59 December 31st, 2023.

"He was easily the last recorded birth at YNHH in 2023 as YNHH only records births to the minute, not seconds," a representative for the hospital said.

Their daughter, Souli Morris, was born three minutes later at 12:02 January 1st, 2024.

Both babies weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces.

What an incredible gift for that father in the years to come! You know there will be cheesy dad jokes galore for the entirety of these kids' lives.

  • Sorry, Souli, you don't get any birthday cake until next year.
  • Sorry Seven, we always seem to be dropping the ball on your birthday.
  • Why do we always have to party until it's Souli's birthday? What if we go to bed early this time?
  • Well, when we got the one kid, we decided to try again the next year.
  • Would have been nice to get the double tax deduction in the same year, but Souli didn't feel like it!
  • He was on time, but his sister had to finish getting ready and showed up fashionably late, the next year.
  • He can date because he's a year older than you.
  • This is my son, born in 2023. And his twin sister, born the following year.

(Please let me know any others you think of and I'll insert them here ๐Ÿ˜‚)

What a blessing to have two healthy kids, and such a great way to start the new year!
