It seems like everyone on the internet had a bad gun take last week.

I watched two of the biggest GunTubers' breakdowns of the situation, and that should put MSNBC's BlueAnon conspiracy theories to rest.

First up is Mike Jones, AKA Garand Thumb. He tried really hard to shoot a target ear and, well, let's just say there were casualties.

[Warning: These guys are vets/gun nerds who sometimes play fast and loose with their language, but there's not any F bombs in this first one]

Next up is Brandon Herrera, also known as "The AK Guy" because he's a weirdo who thinks AKs are better than ARs.

His video has stronger language (so be warned), but he did an excellent job showing how a 5.56 round goes through a ballistic dummy's ear in ultra slow-mo.

Here's a bonus video from Ballistics Nation that tries to recreate the shooting, but instead of an AR-15 chambered in 5.56 with a red dot and zero magnification, this guy used a bolt rifle (not sure of the caliber) with a massive scope ... and STILL had issues hitting a motionless dummy's ear!
