These maps illustrating election outcomes based on single-issues show just how ideologically divided our country really is.

Some of these are fundamental divides.

Reddit user vishplease put together some interesting visuals that show how the U.S. electoral map would shake out based on Republican or Democrat responses to single-issue topics.

And really what they show is just how ideologically divided our nation is.

The first one asks how serious of a problem racism is in the country. And the divide between Biden and Trump voters could hardly be any clearer.

How serious a problem is racism in U.S. society?

The same stark contrast can be seen in answer to the question, "How often, if at all, do you attend religious services?"

You could probably guess how this one divides, but it's still interesting to see just how neatly Trump and Biden voters fall inline depending on how they answer this question.

How often, if at all, do you attend religious services?

Concern over climate change was another big one.

In general, how concerned are you about the effect of climate change?

The economy question was probably the most startling to me. Because unlike some of the other questions, the state of the economy can be quantified. It's not a subjective feeling, but a knowable number.

If I had to wager, I'd guess the division here is really more reflective of the media sources respondents most frequent than anything else.

Do you think the condition of the nation's economy is:

Makes you wonder how long a country this divided can stay together. 😣
