Has anyone in Wisconsin seen a short kid in a puffer vest wandering around lost lately? I think I've figured out where he stashed his car!
This 1981 DeLorean was discovered in a barn in Wisconsin. The owner never drove it and it's been parked in the barn for around 20 years, long enough to sink into the ground where it sat.
He'd only go out to admire it every now and then.
It has 977 miles on it!
Okay, it's pretty gross now, but the Midwest DeLorean group is working on getting it fixed up.
"The condition of the leather, the condition of the instruments, cluster in the dash, and a lot of places where you see sun damage -- and that's one of the big killers on this -- this car virtually has no sun damage," McElhattan told WDJT.
It isn't running according to WBBM, but McElhattan thinks he can get it on the road again.
DeLorean only made about 9,000 of these cars in total during the two years of production. So while this car has problems, it's definitely a gem of a find.
It'll be exciting to see this thing back on the road one day!
