Peggy Koller will turn 100 years old in November, but she's already celebrated the birth of her 100th great-grandchild.
Peggy grew up as an only child and considered becoming a nun. Instead, she married her husband William Koller and went on to have 11 children.
"I wanted to have a big family," she said. "I think it's difficult being an only child โ it's lonely."
I think it's safe to say that none of her kids or grandkids would experience that kind of loneliness. Her 11 children went on to give her 56 grandchildren, who have now given her 100 great-grandchildren. Number 99 and 100 coming just a few days apart.
Peggy's granddaughter Chrissy Balster, and her husband Patrick Balster are the new parents who named their son Koller William, after Peggy's husband. A fitting name for his 100th great-grandchild!
Chrissy told ABC news that,
"First thing out of the hospital, we went to Grandmom's, introduced her to Koller. She was absolutely ecstatic."
Chrissy said of her grandmother,
"Faith and family really get her going. She is present no matter what is going on and however old she is. I mean she never misses a graduation, a baptism, a wedding, a book moment at grade school. Whatever it is, she's always there."
What an amazing legacy for baby Koller...and all 99 of his cousins!
