Okay, I think it's safe to say that this was the longest round of hide and seek in the history of the world:
Yes, it's true, our 15-year-old buddy Fahim was playing hide and seek with some friends at the Chittagong Port in Bangladesh when he decided to hide in a shipping container. It must've taken the seeker a long time, because Fahim eventually fell asleep in his hiding spot. During his nap, however, the shipping container was locked shut, and he would be on his way to a six-day journey all the way to Malaysia, 1800 miles away.
- The 15-year-old, identified only as Fahim, reportedly got locked inside the shipping container while playing hide-and-seek in Chittagong.
- He was discovered six days later in Malaysia's West Port, disoriented and confused after days without food or water.
That's six whole days without food or water!
Seriously, can you imagine sitting in the dark like this, bobbing around on the surface of the ocean for six days?!
You'd go nuts!
I bet he spent the majority of his waking hours in that shipping container poking around, hoping to find something to eat or drink.
Here's video of Fahim exiting the container after staff at the Malaysian port heard knocking from inside:
I feel so bad for this kid.
He looks incredibly dehydrated and confused.
I'm glad he made it out of this alive and was able to receive the treatment he did when he arrived in Malaysia.
It sounds like Fahim is booked for a ride home on the same vessel that brought him to Malaysia.
