We just reported on how Buzzfeed was going broke for going woke and having to lay off 12% of its workforce.

Now, according to a memo sent out by Buzzfeed CEO Jonah Perretti, they're replacing those woke folks with ChatGPT to avoid going broke.

And Wallstreet signaled a willingness to take a risk on the move. The company's stock was down 40% last year. They just reported a loss of $27 million on $104 million in income, but Perretti's announcement of the shift to AI content caused the stock to jump 150%.

Peretti says that the bots will play an increasingly larger role in the company's content generation, including creating personality quizzes with personalized text-write-ups based on user responses.

To be clear, we see the breakthroughs in AI opening up a new era of creativity that will allow humans to harness creativity in new ways with endless opportunities and applications for good.

That last phrase "for good" of course means more wokescolding, but it won't be coming from a person.

They intend to train the machines to scold us.
