This Beautiful Colonial House And The Squatter(s) Living On The Lower Level Could Be All Yours For Only $800,000!
· Apr 15, 2022 · NottheBee.com

Check out this beauty of a house in Fairfax, Virginia that's listed for $200K under its estimated value. Great deal? You bet! The spacious colonial even includes a squatter that the seller is including in the sale. Check out the description:

CASH OFFERS ONLY NO ACCESS to see lower level and Home sold AS IS ONLY with acknowledgement that home will convey with a person(s) living in lower level with no lease in place – Great opportunity to own in Mantua!

The lower-level of the house is kind of like a Democrat omnibus bill; you cannot see it until you buy it, and there is definitely a poison pill—someone or someones (note the plural) is living there.

Of course the Twittersphere had something to say about it all:

Even more of a selling point on this nearly $1 million home is its super stellar condition. Old vinyl floors, Formica countertops, rot, and malfunctioning dishwashers and toilets??

Big kitchen with door to deck area - renovated years back with 42 inch cabinets, vinyl floor and Formica countertops. Original windows, some with rot. Sliding door from family room would require replacement. Dishwasher not working. Powder room toilet is shut off and it leaks in lower level.

With photos like this...

...it makes one wonder how bad the unseen lower level actually is.

As of this writing, the property went from "sale pending" to "off market." Adventure awaits that poor buyer. I hope it's one of these corporations buying up all the properties site unseen.

That would serve them right to have to try to eject Bartleby the Scrivener out of the lower level of one their stick-it-to-the-middle-class investments!
