Sasha Johnson is a U.K. activist who self-importantly calls herself the "Black Panther of Oxford," and she has a terrible idea she would like to share.
Yes, Ms. Johnson wants to create a national database for anyone "accused" or "charged" with racism.
Sidebar: If you ever look in the mirror and wonder aloud to yourself, "am I one of the bad guys?" Here's a little test... If you're making lists,
you're the bad guys.
What would such a list be used for? Just the obvious stuff, of course, like banning people from certain jobs or from living near folx of color.
"If you live in a majority-coloured neighbourhood you shouldn't reside there because you're a risk to those people – just like if a sex offender lived next to a school he would be a risk to those children,' she told the outlet.
Johnson says the list would function just like the sex offender registry and involve zero due-process. Even people merely accused of "microaggressions" would be included.
To be accused is to be guilty.
Add zem to ze list!
But she's not totally unreasonable, guys!
Her half-baked idea would "probably" include getting a warning first before being fired and banned from work. So stop worrying.
"A lot of racism happens at work and places of education in a micro-aggressive way. If you exhibit an element of bias at work, you should probably receive a warning first [before later being added to the register] so people know in future that you hold these views," she added.
