A 60-year-old California man was enjoying his day out at Estero Bluffs State Park on Monday when he noticed this beautiful shipwreck.

As any curious man might do, he decided to climb aboard the vessel and take a look around. Eventually, the man grew comfortable enough to just plop down and take a little snooze right there on the ship like it was no big deal.

Well, it was low tide when he closed his eyes, but when he woke up, BOOM, water all around him.

I don't know about you, but for me this is about time to start panicking.

Did you read that?

"COULD NOT SWIM"!!!!

No way, man. I'm extra freaking out if I'm this bro.

Now, I'm not sure if this man had a phone on him and called 911 or if someone saw him out there waving his arms and made the call, but…

A call for rescue came in around 8 p.m., and several units responded to the scene as it grew dark…

With the help of a jet ski, rescuers ultimately plucked the man from the rusty shipwreck about 45 minutes later and shuttled him to safety on shore.

Dude's super lucky!

Moral of the story: Pay attention to your surroundings, and always keep high tide in mind when you're at the beach.
