This lady ordered 3 "queer books" from Target but received a Bible instead

Yo, Chad, I didn't know you worked at Target! Looks like you're doing big things over there.

Sent this lady a copy of the Bible instead of the queer-themed books she ordered.

Now that is based!!

You see the lady in the photo above, and you know just by looking at her that she probably goes by "they" or "ze" or something trippy like that. And you know when she got on Target.com she was in detective mode, looking for the queerest, most trans-the-kids books they had to offer. And she did, she found some queer books, which she just had to have because queer is so cool in 2024.

One Target shopper says their order for books from the retailer not only had the wrong item packaged in it โ€” they think it was done on purpose.

TikToker Liv (@fooddaddy11) has taken to the platform to call out Target for a more intentional mix-up by an employee of the department store chain. When they ordered two books with queer storylines through shipping, they instead received a paperback copy of the Bible.

"When I opened my package, I got the Bible," they say in the video. "That is what I got. I ordered three queer books. One was an in-store pickup, the other two were supposed to be delivered, and I got the Bible, which should never happen to anybody because it is a freedom of speech and all that type of stuff."

Bro, this is one of the most legendary Target stories of all time. I wish I could shake the hand of the employee behind this or buy them a beer or something. Just next-level stuff right here.

And if you think it wasn't done on purpose, just look at what our they/them, who has worked at Target in the past, had to say about the ordering process.

Liv says that they worked for Target in the past and understand that it would be truly difficult to have mixed up the book order on accident, as employees packing orders have to scan for the individual items.

"Now here's the fun fact about Target: the person that decided to send this to me โ€” I used to work for Target for three-and-a-half years, I know how ship-from-store and order pickup works," they say in the video. "You have your Zebra, you scan out a cart, you literally go and you're basically following this Zebra to the location in the store or warehouse to pick that item, scan it out of the box. Your barcodes have to match to then scan it into the cart to make the order actually happen and process it properly."

"They went out of their way to deliberately bring out the two books that I wanted to put them to the side and put this in instead," Liv says.

Bro, legendary.

I never knew they made Target employees that were this incredible level of based.
