Meet Rocky, the hero dog who almost lost his life getting another criminal scumbag off the streets of Houston.
Rocky was shot by a lowlife cop-killer after finding him hiding from police in a dumpster.
Here's what happened:
Sean Christopher Davis (pictured below) was on the run from police.
Hours earlier, he had shot and killed Deputy Jesus Vargas. Davis fled the scene, and was hunkered down in a nearby dumpster with the rest of the trash.
But when police arrived to look for Davis, K9 Rocky sniffed him out immediately. According to reports, he alerted his police pals that Mr Scumbag was hiding out in the trash.
The criminal then emerged from the dumpster and shot the poor dog twice. He then took a few shots at police, who had surrounded the dumpster. The officers rightfully unloaded on Mr Scumbag, killing him on the spot.
Here is a video of the hero cops airlifting hero doggo to the hospital for emergency surgery.
According to U.S. Marshal Mike O'Connor:
The amazing aspect here that people have to understand, the K-9 saved lives. When the K-9 went in there, he decided to take the dog out.
Cheers to Rocky for taking one for the team and bringing down this cop killer.
Thankfully, a local reporter confirmed the police dog is in stable condition and recovering.
