With rent the way it is, this guy saved himself a good year's salary with this little life hack of all life hacks.

Man, why didn't I think of that?!?

Look at that space!

Amazing he was able to fit himself, a tent, a table, a computer and a chair under those secret stairs (what kind of mall has secret stairs, by the way?).

Our secret shopper would every once in a while come out of his little lair in order to charge his devices using the mall's outlets. He'd have to sneak back into the spot every charging day, which couldn't have been easy.

And get this: A security guard caught him in this little nook a few months back, but when our guy explained that he needed the space to study the security guard laid off and didn't tell anyone. I mean, what a guy!

The genius rent-dodger was eventually caught on October 30, however, by another security guard who wasn't quite as cool as the other guy.

I'm still over here feeling jealous that I've never once lived inside a mall undetected for six months. Well, there was that one time I worked at the Buckle for a few months. Not sure if that counts as living at the mall, but it sure felt like it.
