I think he's jumping off a hot air balloon, but even if it's a cliff of some sort, the rope swing would actually make the jump safer by getting you away from the winds pushing against the cliff.

Of course, this is the same man, Trevor Jacob, who ditched his plane mid-flight to rack up YouTube views and got in real trouble for it!
