This is one of the strangest plays I've seen in baseball in a long time:

In case you're not a baseball junkie, the foul tip rule allows the catcher to earn the strikeout by catching a foul tip for strike three. Strikes one and two do not count as outs when foul tips are caught by the catcher, but simply are jotted down as their respective strikes within the count.
Of course, if the ball is hit in the air into foul territory and the catcher catches the ball that would count as an out no matter the count.
So that's an amazing play right there by Nick Fortes.
Baseball, what a wonderful game!
