This woman went so viral for recording her layoff experience that the Cloudflare CEO had to respond

Lots of people are divided on this one but I'm just wondering why we feel the need to record ourselves every waking moment of the day.

So Brittany decided she was going to be brave and record her interaction with the soulless HR department of a soulless corporation so that she could be completely unemployable ever again?

I'm confused.

The widget factories that are modern American companies are sterile, politically-correct groupthink machines that suck the life out of people. I get that. There's a reason Dilbert was created decades ago.

I'm not here to wade into the "Toughen Up, Buttercup" versus "Slay, Queen!" war in the comment section. I'll leave you guys to that (leave a comment on your own take!).

I'm just here to note that the whole thing - from the way they fired her to her recording the call - is weird. Medieval serfs living through the Plague wouldn't be enviable of our modern corporate environment.

Brittany's video went so viral that the CEO of Cloudflare WAS FORCED TO RESPOND:

Here's what I think the silver lining is. The woke corporate class - full of girl bosses and Ivy League snobs who complain about their Starbucks allowances and long work hours from home - is finally having its bubble burst by the horrible economy it helped create.

(Here's a link to Cloudfare's DEI page if you don't think they're woke!)
