This story is out of Slovakia, where this dog apparently drove a car 6.8 mph over the speed limit.

A Slovakian man was fined when a traffic camera captured his dog happily behind the wheel of his car, driving over the speed limit in the western Slovakian village of Šterusy…

The 31-year-old driver claimed the dog had jumped on his lap mid-drive but police could not see any sudden movement inside the car when they reviewed the footage.

He was handed an immediate fine by the officers for violating traffic violations.

Yeah, so the way I'm interpreting this is that the guy was lounging in the driver's seat and thought it would be fun to have his dog drive for a bit, but got caught on camera and tried to pass it off as just a momentary thing.

The dog was going 6.8 mph over the speed limit, which is pretty modest for a pooch behind the wheel. I've seen dogs do much worse, so good on this pup for keeping it casual.

Overall, great driving by our little friend — well, besides the fact that he got caught.
