A new study from the University of Bristol has revealed for the first time what researchers believe to be the true size of the legendary prehistoric mega-shark known as MEGALODON ... and the thing was an absolutely gigantic nightmare monster.

Today the king of the sharks is the Great White. They're huge killing machines. Like this one:

Great Whites can grow up to 20 feet in length at the largest.

The Megalodon, according to the new study, grew up to 52 FEET.

Think of the largest Great White ever recorded and multiply it by two and a half. NIGHTMARE MONSTER!!

The researchers noted in their wonky but adorable British English:

The results suggest that a 16-metre-long Otodus megalodon likely had a head round 4.65 metres long, a dorsal fin approximately 1.62 metres tall and a tail around 3.85 metres high.

This means an adult human could stand on the back of this shark and would be about the same height as the dorsal fin.
