Well, back to the drawing board. Yet another round of negotiations to reach a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia has failed.
It all started when Zelenskyy publicly vowed that Ukraine would never cede control of Crimea.

The White House has this week been making it clear that the United States is ready to walk away from the peace process if it doesn't have willing partners. All of this pressure seems aimed squarely at Kiev, given also Vice President Vance's Wednesday remarks while in India.
'We've issued a very explicit proposal to both the Russians and the Ukrainians, and it's time for them to either say yes or for the United States to walk away from this process,' Vance told the press pool while on the trip. 'The only way to really stop the killing is for the armies to both put down their weapons, to freeze this thing and to get on with the business of actually building a better Russia and a better Ukraine.'
Trump had thoughts:
To make matters worse, the Russians decided to retaliate against a Ukrainian strike on one of their weapons depots by firing missiles at Ukraine in the middle of the peace talks.
And then on Friday, well...

That didn't stop Trump from continuing to apply pressure though:
This all comes roughly two months after Zelenskyy received a very public tongue-lashing from Trump and Vance in front of the world in the Oval Office:
It's almost as if Zelenskyy and Putin don't want the war to end.
