Enough is enough. At least that's the message being conveyed by President Donald Trump regarding the pair of astronauts who have been stranded at the International Space Station for an astounding seven months.
Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have been stuck on the ISS since June 2024 in what was supposed to be a week-long mission. They arrived on a spacecraft made by Boeing, which developed mechanical issues (shocker) and prevented their scheduled return trip. It has now taken over seven months — and the election of a new president — to bring them home.
Musk confirmed the request he received from Trump and vowed to get the job done.
In a report this week from CBS News, Williams described just how different life has been for her during the ordeal:
I've been up here long enough right now I've been trying to remember what it's like to walk. I haven't walked. I haven't sat down. I haven't laid down. You don't have to. You can just close your eyes and float where you are right here.
Thankfully for the stranded astronauts, there's a new man in the Oval Office.
Get ‘em home, Elon.
