This is Tucker Carlson at his best and you need to see it

Do I think Tucker Carlson is right on every issue? Of course not. I have been critical of him for his flipflop on banning TikTok, and what I saw as an incredible whiff during his visit to Moscow and interview with Vladimir Putin. But when Tucker takes on the stupid narrative-pushing and propaganda peddling of mainstream media, it just doesn't get any better.

For another example of that fact, check out one of the most satisfying exchanges you will ever see between Carlson and a pretentious reporter pushing standard left-wing tropes. The unidentified journalist from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation locked horns with the former Fox News host, and it was a massacre of epic proportions.

Yeesh.

I think my favorite part had to be when Carlson gave a very concise, very succinct explanation of his beliefs (beliefs that are shared by millions of Americans):

My concern is that the people who were born in the country are the main responsibility of its leaders. And as noted earlier, when those leaders shift their concern from the people whose responsibility it is to take care of two people around the world to put their priorities above that of their own citizens, that's immoral. And they are being replaced.

In my country, people were born in the United States. And the birth rate tells the whole story. They're not at replacement rate. And so the US population is growing, because we're importing people from other countries. And my view is that happy people have children. And a functioning economy allows them to do that. And we don't have that.

And so you need to fix the economy, and fix the culture and make it so that people who want to have kids can you don't just go for the quick sugar fix of importing new people. Like, that's my position. And if you think that's racist, that's your problem.

The journalist responds by denying ever calling Carlson a racist … right before saying:

Well this is the same theory or as you say, idea that has inspired the New York Buffalo shooting, it's inspired the worst…

"I never called you a racist, but anyway, your ideas inspired the racially-motivated Buffalo shooting."

Honestly, I got second-hand embarrassment for this female editorialist just watching that exchange. It actually reminded me of something that happened to me years ago. I invited a prominent figure onto my old radio show - specifically, someone with whom I had several fundamental and religious disagreements. I had carefully planned out my questions, and had mapped out exactly what I would say when they answered either of the two ways I anticipated they might respond. I was ready. And then the guest responded a third way - a way I hadn't even considered. I spent the rest of that debate spouting off my scripted responses to things that my opponent wasn't even saying.

That's what this was. She had a script and didn't deviate. That's why, after he exposed her nefarious attempt to paint his views on the "replacement" of native born citizens as racist, she denied that was what she was doing, right before she went ahead and did it. That's also why the audience there at the Australian Freedom Conference couldn't stop laughing at, heckling, and booing her.

It's hard to feel that bad for people who willfully commit themselves to lying.

Perhaps they think they are serving some greater good by misleading the masses. Maybe in their eyes, misrepresenting someone like Carlson is a justifiable offense so long as it keeps mainstream citizens from buying into his "dangerous" ideas.

But that's the issue, isn't it? The ideas progressive media see as so dangerous - they either aren't dangerous at all, or they aren't, for the most part, anything close to what Carlson believes or promotes. And much of what he actually does believe and promote is anything but radical.

Believing that the American government has a moral obligation to protect an environment of freedom that permits its citizens to flourish, for example. That isn't extreme.

It's common sense.
