The mad lad is making Twitter great again.
It's still unclear how a Musk-run Twitter might impact the company's ability to retain current staff and recruit new employees. The company presented the takeover as a potential threat to its staffing abilities in an SEC filing Monday.
But at least casual interest in open positions at the company has skyrocketed since the Tesla billionaire showed serious interest in taking over the company.
On Thursday, Daniel Zhao, a senior economist and data scientist at the job insights platform Glassdoor, tweeted that interest in job openings at the social media giant was up 263% between April 24 and April 30.
That number comes from how many daily clicks on job postings there are on Glassdoor.
I gotta be honest: I never would have thought to work at a company like Twitter before Elon bought the place. The thought was so far removed from my mind that I was much more willing to go fish for crab off the coast of Alaska than dive into a deeply biased political work structure where I'd have to learn how I'm racist and come up with ideas to better censor people.
I'm sure there are millions of people like me: People who would have never even thought they could see themselves working in such a place. It's amazing how you can attract real talent when you hire based on skill and not based on Marxist intersectional theory!
"Say what you will about Elon, he does have a large fanbase of ppl excited to work for him," Zhao tweeted. "He's much more likely to capitalize on that attraction as CEO than owner."
This is why it's great news that Elon will likely be the temporary CEO.
