I dont know if you've noticed, but even liberals are making this joke now.
As you may notice, trans folx are still offended by the "identifies as" joke. The below post got the Grinch card canceled.
No joke, this Bluesky post from what liberals call a "trans journalist" made it all the way to the top at greeting card publisher Emotional Rescue and now they're destroying all copies of this silly card that would've been funny like five years ago when it was conservatives who were making this joke. For reference, the card was made by an "inclusive" artist, aka a liberal.
Here's what that "trans journalist" told Pink News:
Speaking to PinkNews, Molly said she feels the card 'belittles the identity of trans and non-binary people'.
'Trans people don't choose to identify as their gender - it's part of who they are,' she explained. 'Being trans is not a choice.
'Cis people saying they identity as something like a tomato, attack helicopter or a Grinch I feel invalidates the lived experience of trans people.'
Molly also mentioned that the card made her worry because trans violence is on the rise. I might agree had she been talking about trans mass shooters.
Also to be noted, these far-left folx seem to be very concerned that "identifies as" jokes are making their way into the mainstream. I agree that this is dumb -- the joke is played out at this point and everyone has moved on from it. Liberals making the joke just look like Boomers.
Anyhow, the folx on the uber-left are super proud of Sophie.
