"They're trolling British women": UN charity picks transgender model to represent females of the UK

A UN charity chose the first "UK champion" for UN Women UK, and they chose poorly. Very poorly.

The UN picked Munroe Bergdorf, a man, to represent British women. Here's his post about the new role:

Bergdorf was born Ian and previously worked as a DJ. He started pretending to be a woman at 18 and began hormone treatment in 2014.

He is now a 36-year-old transgender model who was fired by L'Oreal in 2017 for his insanely racist comments (they rehired him 3 years later cuz the BLM movement made racist grifting popular again).

In 2017, Bergdorf ranted in a lengthy Facebook post that "all white people are racist" after violence broke out in Charlottesville.

Honestly, I don't have energy to talk about the racial violence of white people any more. Yes, all white people.

...

Once white people begin to admit that their race is the most violent and oppressive force of nature on Earth… then we can talk.

Just a year later, Bergdorf outdid himself by branding suffragette pioneers "white supremacists."

Not only has this dude made racist remarks, but he's also a big bully. In 2012, Bergdorf was forced to apologize after old social media messages showed him calling a Twitter user a "hairy barren lesbian" and saying he wanted to "gay bash" a TV star.

Bergdorf also attacked homosexual right-wingers, writing online: "Gay male Tories are a special kind of [flowerbed]. It's actually quite astonishing."

It shouldn't be a surprise that Bergdorf was once on the Labour Party's LGBT+ advisory board. It's too bad he had to stand down from the role because of all the awful things he's said online.

The UN basically picked the worst possible representation for women. This move has sparked a backlash from 17 campaign groups who say Bergdorf is "unsuitable in every regard" for the role, pointing to their previous alleged "homophobic and racist posts on social media."

The groups, including Fair Play for Women, Sex Matters, Transgender Trend, and the Women's Rights Network, signed a joint letter expressing their "dismay and disappointment" at the decision.

In the letter, the organizations stated: "Munroe Bergdorf's well-publicized activism is not pro-women. This person has objected to women making references to our female bodies."

CAN WE PLEASE STOP CALLING IT "PROGRESSIVE" TO APPOINT MEN IN DRESSES TO SPEAK FOR WOMEN ?
