U.N. report says anti-LGBT beliefs are "beyond international legal protections" of religious liberty

A report for United Nations' (U.N.) Human Rights Council on June 21 said "violent and discriminatory positions of prejudice [based on sexual orientation and gender identity] are beyond international legal protections of religious or other beliefs."

"Laws enacted with the aim of mandating standards of conduct purportedly demanded by interpretations of religious dogma effectively deny [LGBT] and other gender diverse persons the right to equality and, often, equal recognition under the law," the report reads.

One of the most ridiculous parts of this quote is how it refers to these certain types of "laws enacted with the aim of mandating standards of conduct." I hate to break it to ya, bro, but that's what every law does, whether "demanded by interpretations of religious dogma" or not.

Costa Rican lawyer Victor Madrigal-Borloz, the author of the report, is an "Independent Expert on protection against violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity" for the U.N.

Madrigal-Borloz also blamed "religious communities" for "violence, discrimination, and exclusion" toward "LGBT persons."

The report also mentions "dark corners where LGBT people are regarded as sinners." I reject the "dark corners" label, but, either way...

Thank you, Captain Obvious!

Of course they're sinners! The Bible says we're all sinners and that we all need the Savior (i.e., Jesus) to save us from our sin. Oops! That's hate "hate speech."

Madrigal-Borloz calls it "hate speech" to consider LGBT persons "as a threat to the traditional family, and interpreting religious doctrines to exclude and promote violence and discrimination against homosexuality and gender nonconformity."

There's a huge difference between physically harming someone (i.e., violence) and making a personal evaluation on the morality of someone's actions (i.e., discrimination).

Leftists keep destroying language with one goal: To make you bow before their gods.
